  • Watermain Replacement: Longford Drive/Willow Lane and George Street

    A Public Information Centre (PIC) is scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2018 to present the final details for the Longford Drive/Willow Lane Watermain Replacement and George Street Watermain Replacement construction projects.  

    The PIC will be held at the Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive) from 6 to 8 p.m. in Council Chambers.  The format will be a drop-in  open house. 

    Longford Drive/Willow Lane and George Street – project details:

    The following work will be completed as part of the Longford Drive/Willow Lane and George Street project. The work is expected to commence in the spring of 2018 and should be substantially completed by the fall of 2018, weather permitting.

    1. Replacing the existing watermain on Longford Drive/Willow Lane and George Street including water services from the new watermain to property line.  This includes the removal and replacement of some curbs, sidewalks and driveways to property line, where necessary.

    2. Trench restoration, including placing new asphalt within the trench areas.

    3. Upgrades to crosswalks and sidewalk alignments at intersections to comply with Standard Regulation Guidelines set out by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

    4. Resurfacing the road within the project limits in 2019

    Project drawings will be on display and representatives from the Town’s Development & Infrastructure Services Commission, Engineering Services, and the Town’s consulting engineers (Ainley Group) will be available to answer questions and provide information.
