The museum is located at 134 Main Street South, Newmarket. Hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to Noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Free admission. Call 905-953-5314 for more information.

Museum Mayhem, Free
Learn how to walk on stilts or attempt hula hoops.  Try our old fashioned wooden toys & games and go on a Museum Scavenger Hunt.

SATURDAY MAKE UKRAINIAN EASTER EGGS!  ($10 FEE APPLIES)

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a caregiver 18 years of age or over.

Parents please note: this is not a day camp and there are no lunchroom facilities.

VICTORIAN MOTHER’S DAY TEA

Bring your Mother and enjoy an old-fashioned afternoon in a historical setting!

Presented by the Friends of the Museum

Date:  Saturday, May 9th
Two Sittings:  1:00-2:00p.m. and 2:30-3:30p.m.
Tickets:  $10.00

Cost includes a variety of teas, old-fashioned sandwiches and sweets served on vintage china.

CREATE A VICTORIAN COSTUME

 2 day workshop

Saturday May 30 and Saturday June 6
1:30-3:30 PM
$100 Residents/$130 Non residents

Learn about historic fabrics and see examples from Museum collections. Discover heritage patterns, find out how to source fabrics, how to put together materials from the thrift shop and pattern availability.  Consult with an experienced 're-enactment seamstress' on how to use the patterns to create your own Victorian costume.  Suitable for men and women 18+.

 

CANADA DAY OPEN HOUSE

Join us at the Elman W. Campbell Museum for our Canada Day Open House.   Special displays, demonstrations and lots to do in the downtown core.

SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWE’EN PARTY

The Elman W. Campbell Museum presents

a Gallery of Festive Trees to celebrate the holiday season.

The Royal Family celebrated the holiday season with Christmas trees even before the

custom became popular.  Whether your style is Victorian, Edwardian, or Retro, there’s

something to inspire everyone!  Opens the day of the

Newmarket Santa Claus Parade!

And you’re invited!  Jingle all the way to the Elman Campbell Museum.

The Museum has a Gift Shop operated by the Friends of the Museum. The Shop features postcards, books on local history, maps, t-shirts and other great merchandise. Especially popular are the old-fashioned wooden toys! The Gift Shop is open during regular Museum hours.
