The Town of Newmarket is very excited to launch the 2011 Special Events Guide.
This Winter Events Flyercan help you find out about many diverse and exciting special events happening in our community. If your community group would like to promote your community special event, please contact our Special Events Unit at 905-895-5193.

Free admission, nominal fee for some activities. A donation of non-perishable food for the Newmarket Food Pantry is appreciated. Many activities organized by community service groups and volunteers.

Sat. Feb. 4, Newmarket Community Centre & Lions Hall, 200 Doug Duncan Dr. 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., includes pancake breakfast, family bingo, children's activities, photography contest and much more. Newmarket Riverwalk Commons, 200 Doug Duncan Dr. & Fairy Lake Park, Water St. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. includes wagon rides, pony rides, children's games, dog sled rides, skating and hot food. Free admission (nominal fee for some activities).
Sun. Feb. 5, Ray Twinney Recreation Complex, 100 Eagle St. W. Craft Sale from noon to 4 p.m. Free admission, fill out a ticket on site and have a chance to win a prize! Free public skating noon to 2 p.m. & free public swimming 1 to 4 p.m. Please refer to Recreation and Culture Guide for guidelines and ratios.
Support Newmarket's green initiatives by walking, carpooling or taking the bus. For up-to-date weather and/or cancellation details of Town-run outdoor events call 1-877-PLAY936 on the date of the event, 2 hours prior to the start time.
