Urban park development

Representative from the Town of Newmarket, the Province of Ontario and the Federal Government celebrated the development of Newmarket's new urban park - the Community Urban Space Project (CUSP) - with a media event celebration on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Equally funded by the three levels of government, the celebration event featured speeches from Lois Brown, Member of Parliament for Newmarket-Aurora; Helena Jaczek, Member of Provincial Parliament for Oak Ridges-Markham; and Tony Van Bynen, Mayor of the Town of Newmarket.

An event designed to showcase the potential of the new urban park once it's built, the event concluded with live musical performances, jugglers and a tickle trunk of toys designed to appeal the kid in all of us. With bubbles floating in the air, kids playing and music beating in the background, the park's potential was brought to life.
