Next Curbside Giveaway Day: June 30, August 25, October 27, 2012
Take advantage of Curbside giveaway days to get rid of those unused reusable items that are taking up space in your home. Large items such as couches and mattresses placed out for pick-up require a sticker. There is a $12 charge per large item for pick-up and disposal. When the sticker has been obtained, please place on the item(s) and for appliances please call the office to arrange a pick up. Residents are encouraged to recycle large items by donating them to charity, or where offered, having them picked up by the supplier on delivery of new items, or participating in the Town's Curbside giveaway days.
Curbside Give Away Days occur on the last Saturday in April, June, August, and October. Simply place unwanted items at your curb between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. marked "FREE" to invite residents to help themselves to your disposed goods. All articles must be removed from the curb by 6 p.m. For more information, call the Customer Service Centre at 905-895-5193.
