The Finance Department provides financial direction and high quality, timely financial advice and support to all departments, residents and Council of Newmarket. It is responsible for the stewardship of the financial assets and records as well as the protection of the physical assets of the corporation in co-operation with other departments. It also provides or manages tax and water billing services to residents of the Town. It provides budget and expenditure management information, payroll, fiscal policy, accounts payable and receivable and cashier services.
