The Public Works Services Department works to provide and maintain infrastructure and Public Works related services to ensure public health and safety, meet reasonable service levels and enhance the quality of life of Newmarket residents.The department is committed to co-ordinating the delivery of efficient, effective and environmentally sound services consisting of orderly development, water distribution, sewage collection, parks and property maintenance, roads, sidewalks and solid waste/recycling collection. Balancing the delivery of these services through funding from adequate, stable and sustainable funding sources, the department protects and maintains the Municipality's investment in infrastructure.
