There are over 70 parks and recreation centres in Newmarket, including the Wesley Brooks Memorial Conservation Area/Fairy Lake (right) and the Mabel Davis Conservation Area.
Residents are welcome and encouraged to utilize Newmarket's many excellent recreation facilities, described below, which are available at reasonable rates for meetings, recreation programs, fund raising events, social activities and much more!

Ray Twinney Recreation Complex
The Ray Twinney Recreation Complex is a popular recreation facility that features two arenas, a large indoor pool, all with spectator seating, snack bars and change room facilities. The complex is also home of the home of the Newmarket Stingrays, a top rated competitive swim club. Several lounges and rooms are available for rental for banquets, parties and meetings, and throughout the year a number of seasonal and high profile special events take place at the complex.
The Ray Twinney Recreation Complex is surrounded by a football field, a number of soccer pitches and baseball diamonds. Summer weekends are filled with both competitive and friendly tournaments.

Newmarket Public Library
The Newmarket Public Library features a collection of over 175,000 items - including bestsellers, magazines, audio books, DVDs, language kits and materials for individuals with special needs. The library has a children's services department, and offers a wide-range of fun and unique programs for children of all ages, and adults too (such as the popular Jane Austen Book Club).

Newmarket Community Centre and Lions Hall holds a variety of Town programs are held in the halls and rooms located in the community centre. These halls and rooms are also available for rent for banquets, parties and meetings.

Hollingsworth Arena
The Hollingsworth Arena has one arena, with spectator seating, change rooms and a snack bar available. This arena is the home of Newmarket minor hockey. The arena is also available for rent.

Old Town Hall
The Old Town Hall has a theatre style auditorium, banquet hall and a board room available for rental. The Old Town Hall is a popular location for local arts and culture groups and is currently home to a large amateur theatre group. Directly across the street from the Old Town Hall is Market Square, an open community meeting place and celebration location.

Gorman Pool
The Gorman Pool is a seasonal facility - a favourite among residents for open air swimming in the summer. The Gorman Pool is an outdoor heated pool and a popular summer facility open from the end of June until the beginning of September. It is a graduated depth pool to a maximum of five feet.
