White Goods (Appliance) Collection

Appliances ("White Goods") such as stoves, refrigerators, metal bath tubs, hot water tanks, etc. are not permitted in your regular garbage.

Residents who have white goods for disposal may do so by obtaining a designated sticker. There is a $12.00 charge per white good for pick-up and disposal. When the sticker has been obtained, please place on the white good immediately and call Green For Life at 1-866-421-5625 or YorkCS@turtleislandrecycling.com to arrange for a Wednesday bi-weekly collection. Residents are reminded that for safety reasons doors and hardware must be saved and placed outside with the unit.

Furniture, mattresses, box springs, toilets and other large items are to be placed at the curb for pick up on your biweekly garbage collection day with a $12 large item sticker. Please separate two piece toilets, bowl and tank, and place them at the curb with one sticker.

• The Town Offices, 395 Mulock Drive Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
  • ** May 21 - September 3: Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30, Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Operations Centre, 1275 Maple Hil Crt, Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cash or cheque only
• Newmarket Public Library, 438 Park Avenue - ONLY garbage tags and large item/appliance stickers Tuesday to Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday (May to September) 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. (exact change or cheque only)
