Join us in welcoming Santa Claus to Newmarket! The parade starts at the corner of Lorne Avenue and Eagle Street, proceeds East on Eagle Street then North on Main Street. The parade will end at Ontario Street.

Remember to bring your letter to Santa to give to Canada Post and a non-perishable food item for the Newmarket Food Pantry.

During the parade, watch out for the award winning floats:

  • Best Commerical
  • Best Non-profit
  • Best Dance/Cheer/Baton
  • Best Overall
  • Most Creative

If you would like to submit a float in the parade, please fill out and submit the application form. Click here for the 2017 float application 

​The application deadline is Monday, November 6, 2017 by 4 p.m.

Road Closures:


Marshalling Areas:
7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Cane Parkway - William Roe Blvd. North to Lorne Avenue
Lorne Avenue - Cane Parkway to Eagle Street

 

9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Lorne Avenue – Avenue Road to Eagle Street
Avenue Road – Lorne Avenue to Helmer Street

 

10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Eagle Street – Helmer Avenue to Main Street
Water Street – Main Street to Prospect Street

 

Parade Route:
10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Starts Eagle Street and Lorne Avenue – going East to Main/Water Street then Main Street from Water Street going North to Ontario Street. Parade ends at Main Street at Ontario Street.

 

Disbanding Area:

  • 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the following streets:
  • Main Street between Ontario Street and Davis Drive
  • Ontario Street between Main Street and Superior Street
  • Superior Street between Ontario Street and Davis Drive
  • Simcoe Street between Main Street and Superior Street
