As part of its ongoing public engagement efforts, the Town of Newmarket is inviting residents to ‘get involved’ by attending a Public Information Centre (PIC) regarding the proposed East-West Bikeway on March 9.
WHAT: Join the Town of Newmarket for a drop-in session to learn more about the Town’s proposed 2017 Newmarket East-West Bikeway, which is planned to provide new on-street cycling opportunities. Please note there will be no formal presentation.
WHEN: Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Newmarket Community Centre and Lions Hall, Hall #3,
200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket
This PIC is an opportunity for residents to learn about the proposed 2017 East-West Bikeway. The Bikeway will consist of dedicated cycling lanes, allowing cyclists to travel safely in an east-west corridor across Newmarket; from the GO Transit station to Leslie Street via Eagle Street, Millard Avenue, Park Avenue, Main Street, Timothy Street, Prospect Street and Srigley Street.
Project drawings will be on display and Town staff, along with the Town’s consultant, WSP, will be present to answer questions on the proposed cycling opportunities.
If you are unable to attend and/or have questions regarding this meeting or project, please contact:
