March 26, 2020 COVID-19 Update
The Town of Newmarket has closed all Buildings and Facilities to limit the spread of COVID-19. At this time the Town will be suspending all renewals for Dog/Cat licences and will be honouring your current licence until further notice.
All dogs and cats in the Town of Newmarket must have a license in accordance with the Animal Licensing, Regulation and Control By-law 2016-53 . This simple process will ensure you reunite with your pet if they get lost. If your cat or dog is not licensed, simply fill out an
animal license application and purchase an animal tag online or in-person.
Online animal licensing and registration
The Town of Newmarket is now offering online animal licensing and registration. When you license your pet online, you will automatically receive an online pet profile, which will allow you to add information about your pet, edit key information if it changes, upload a photo of your pet and most importantly report if your pet is lost. In addition, when you license your pet(s) online, you will receive an annual rewards card. A variety of local businesses have offered deals to rewards cardholders.
