As the Province of Ontario begins its reopening phase, the Town of Newmarket would like to keep the community updated on what's open in Newmarket during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The health and safety of our community is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the changing COVID-19 landscape, seek guidance from the Province of Ontario and assess each reopening phase carefully with the health and safety of our community a top priority. 

Town will gradually reopen more recreational outdoor amenities as restrictions are lifted. Staff will be performing necessary maintenance work to ensure these areas are safe for use, in addition to posting updated signage. Please adhere to the rules at each amenity. Thank you for your patience as the we work through each reopening phase.

What's open and closed in Newmarket? ​

Use of open amenities are permitted as long as users practice safe physical distancing of at least 6ft. / 2m. away from others outside of their immediate household. Amenities not listed in the table below remain closed.

​Boardwalk at the Tom Taylor Trail (One-way traffic only)

​Entrance located at the south-end of the boardwalk near the Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive).

Please adhere to the signage posted in the area. No passing is allowed on the boardwalk and cycling is not permitted. Learn more.
