Newmarket's Riverwalk Commons is located outside the
Newmarket Community Centre & Lions Hall at 200 Doug Duncan Drive and features an outdoor stage and is host to various Newmarket events all year long. Some notable events include Music in the Park, Moonlight Movies, Kanata Summer Festival, Winter Wonderland, the Newmarket Ice Lounge and more.
This beautiful community space also features the Tim Hortons Skating at the Water Feature. In the winter months, the area becomes an outdoor ice rink and in the summer months, it becomes an outdoor water feature.

Be courteous and share this space with the community. Limit your time and ensure others have a chance to use the amenity. If the spray pad is busy, and physical distancing is not possible, please consider visiting at another time. Please remember to follow the current social gathering limits as set out by the Province of Ontario.
Take extra caution and use these outdoor recreational amenities at your own risk. High touch-points at these outdoor areas (gates, benches etc.) are not cleaned frequently. Remember to wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based sanitizer after visiting the amenity.
Hours of Operation
- Open Monday to Friday, and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Open Saturdays: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.*
*The Tim Hortons Water Feature will at 2 p.m. on Saturdays after the Newmarket Farmers' Market until further notice.
