​​​​The Town of Newmarket has received applications to redevelop the lands formerly occupied by the western half of the former Glenway golf course. The submission consist of applications for Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, and a Plan of Subdivision. The application consists of 10 single detached dwellings, 87 single detached dwellings on private roads, and 96 townhouse units on private roads.

Ward 7 Community Meeting

Staff presented at Councillor Christina Bisanz's Ward 7 Community Meeting on June 19, 2019. The presentation focused on the Planning process for Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, opportunities for public input and comments and how it relates to the current applications for development on the westerly lands of the former Glenway Golf Course.

Current Status

The application has been deemed complete under the Planning Act. Required notice has been sent to surrounding residents by mail and signs are being erected on the properties. The submitted documents are now circulated for review by the Town and its development review partners.

Public Input

Members of the public are welcome to review the submitted documents and share any input by email to the Senior Planner, Community Development, Dave Ruggle at druggle@newmarket.ca

A public meeting, as required by the Planning Act, will be scheduled at a future date.
