​​​​​​​​​​​The Town of Newmarket's Urban Centres Secondary Plan calls for a well-integrated, sustainable, mixed use area, accommodating a broad range of land uses. Increased density will be achieved through intensification. Streets will have a compact, well designed, pedestrian friendly form and will by supported by higher-order transit. High quality urban parks and open spaces will be interspersed throughout the plan area.
