Early Toys Scavenger Hunt

Looking for a fun activity to try this summer? Drop into the Elman W. Campbell Museum on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday during July and August and try our Early Toys Scavenger Hunt. Find the toys hiding in our new displays, play with some old-fashioned toys, try some wooden toys, and have fun with our new tabletop activities. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.   

Museum Downtown Scavenger Hunt Challenge

The Museum has created a Downtown Newmarket Scavenger Hunt. A challenging yet fun and exciting way for families to explore downtown Newmarket. Pick up the hunt at the Museum, find all the answers and submit it to be entered to win a Prize Package. Winner will be announced in September.

Suitable for ages 4 to 10. Adult supervision required.
Admission for all programs $5/child. 

Participants will develop their creativity and motor skills and enjoy some fun activities making unique crafts. Finish with a themed scavenger hunt and tabletop activities.


Cactus Pot Handprints

Saturday, July 13, 2024 | 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Participants will learn tracing, cutting and pattern skills while having fun decorating their own cute, cactus pot handprint keepsake.

Participants will learn how to turn a paper plate into a colourful, woven piece of art.

Garden Wind Chimes

Saturday, August 17, 2024 | 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

Be ready to get messy using a sponge painting technique to paint flowerpots, and hand-string beads to create your own colourful wind chime.
