PA Days in 2020

PA Day Program

Age: 6 – 12 years
Location: Recreation Youth Centre & Sk8 Park (56 Charles Street)
Dates: January 17, January 31, June 1

Join us on your PA Day at the Recreation Youth Centre & Sk8Park! Great activities will be run by dedicated staff in a safe and fun environment. Programs will feature access to the Sk8 Park, gym, and games area, as well as a variety of passive and active games to balance out the day. Lunch and snacks are provided. Extended care is available. 


March Break Camps - March 16 to 20, 2020

March Break Camp Mini, Jr & Sr

Age: 4 to 6 Years (Mini), 6 to 8 (Jr) & 9 to 12 Years (Sr)
Location: Magna Centre (800 Mulock Drive)

This full day program will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Extended Care available from 7:30 am to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. at an additional cost. There will be fun filled days of exciting games, activities, skating, special events, movies and crafts. A daily schedule will be available the week prior to the program. Register at newmarket.ca/camps

Mad Science Camp – Eureka! 

Age: 5 to 10 years
Location: Recreation Youth Centre & Sk8 Park (56 Charles Street)

Children will overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors and the most important of all – their mind. With a little bit of ingenuity children will create catapults and forts, construct working light sticks to take home and assemble a set of circuits with batteries and light bulbs. While Thomas Edison said "invention is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration|, this camp is 100% FUN! Register at newmarket.ca/camps

Basketball Camp YNBA

Age: 8 to 12 Years
Location: Recreation Youth Centre & Sk8 Park

Stay healthy and active during March Break with YNBA Basketball. The Town of Newmarket has partnered with the non-for-profit organization YNBA to run skills and drills all in a fun filled camp atmosphere. Take your game to the next level. Register at newmarket.ca/camps

Kids Great Minds - Cartoon Computer Animation Camp

Age: 6 to 11 Years
Location: Recreation Youth Centre & Sk8

Dive into STEAM with computer animation technology. This camp will enhance your child's creativity and bring their inspiring stories to life, while encouraging them to share and inspire others. They will work collaboratively in a guided, learning, computerized environment and explore their own self-expression to animate story lines they create. In this course your child will learn story-boarding, create short computer animated cartoons, television shows or movies, and develop logical thinking skills. Register at newmarket.ca/camps
