​​​​​​​For your convenience, the Town offers a number of payment options for property taxes.

The due dates for the three instalments for property taxes are July 25, August 27 and September 24

Avoid line-ups and processing delays by paying your property taxes by telephone, internet banking OR through a pre-authorized payment plan (PAP). ​Pre-Authorized Payment Plans:

The Town offers a number of pre-authorized plans either on the installment due dates, or monthly payments that can assist you by spreading out your remittances for up to 10 months between January and October.  For the monthly plans, withdrawals are done on either the 15th or last business day of the month.  For those with arrears balances there are also payment options available.  Please visit our website for details and applications forms.

On-line or telephone Banking:
Set up through your financial institution.  Payee is Town of Newmarket Taxes and your property roll number is your account number.  Payments require three to five business days for processing from the bank to the Town. 
By Mail:​

By Post-dated Cheques:

Cheques can be delivered in person or in the after-hours drop box at the Newmarket Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive), which will be collected the next business day.  They may also be dropped off at the Ray Twinney Complex (100 Eagle Street West), Old Town Hall (460 Botsford Street) or the Magna Centre (800 Mulock Drive) 



In Person:
​Pay in person with a cheque, debit card or cash at the Customer Service Centre at the Town of Newmarket Municipal Offices from Monday to Friday between 8:30 and 4:30 p.m.  Please note, when Council is in session, we are open until 8:00 p.m.  The Ray Twinney Complex kiosk (100 Eagle Street West), or the Magna Centre kiosk (800 Mulock Drive) and the Newmarket Seniors' Meeting Place (474 Davis Drive) can also accept your payment. 


Credit Card (On-line Only):
To pay your property taxes using your existing MasterCard, Visa or American Express, visit Plastiq.comNote - There is an additional fee to use this service that is charged by the processing company, indepenedent of the Town.  Payments require three to five business days for processing back to the Town. 

Please note all unpaid taxes will be charged interest at a rate of 1.25% per month. This charge will be added on the first day of each calendar month in which the default continues.
