  • Town of Newmarket Offers Summer Camps and Park Programs for Summer 2021

    Created: Monday, June 07, 2021

The Town of Newmarket is excited to announce the return of Summer Camps and Park Programs for summer 2021 in accordance with the Province's reopening framework. Camp registration will open to Newmarket residents at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15.

"We understand how important it is for kids to remain active and engaged and we have been eagerly awaiting to launch our summer camps when it was safe to do so." says Mayor John Taylor. "It's been a long difficult winter and we are excited to provide more opportunities for much-needed recreational activities to participate in during the summer months. Whether you are looking for full day camps or short 2-hour programs, all participants will be able to engage and socialize in a fun, friendly and safe atmosphere."

Following the Ministry of Health and York Region Public Health camp guidelines, the number of camps offered this year has been reduced to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Residents are encouraged to register early to reserve a spot. In addition to full-day camps, Newmarket will once again be offering a Kids on the Move Park Program. This Park Program gives children an opportunity to engage and socialize in a safe and friendly atmosphere. Each program is $9/day, two hours in length and geared for ages 6 to 12 years. These small-group day camps will participate in a variety of games, sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities which are designed for participants to have fun while maintaining physical distancing. Pre-registration is required and all Public Health and Safety regulations must be followed. Residents can register at

As participant numbers are limited, camps and park programs will be open to non-residents on June 22, 2021, should there be any availability remaining after resident registration on June 15.
