​Lace up your skates! Outdoor skating at Newmarket's Riverwalk Commons (200 Doug Duncan Drive) officially opens on Saturday, November 19. The hours of operations are Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (weather permitting).

Please keep these rules in mind to ensure everyone has an enjoyable skating season:

• The skating surface is for recreational skating only.
• No sticks, pucks, balls or nets allowed.
• Skaters are reminded to be courteous and respect all skaters. Please refrain from horseplay for tag.  
• Skaters are encouraged to wear CSA approved helmets.
