The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority advises that areas of the watershed are forecast to receive 30-50mm of precipitation starting Tuesday, June 27 through Wednesday, June 28. Higher amounts of rainfall may occur in localized areas.
The forecasted rainfall may result in flooding of low lying areas. All watercourses will experience higher than normal water levels and flows. As a result, local streams and rivers will become dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts and bridges. Children and pets should be warned to stay away from all watercourses.
This Watershed Conditions Statement will be in effect through Wednesday, June 28.
