Traditionally, the Town offers an extensive menu of programs and services that are promoted within our Activity Guide. Programs will be scaled back significantly to ensure that only those services that can fully comply with all public health measures are offered. There will be no Fall 2020 Activity Guide published. Drop-In and limited registered programs will be introduced gradually over the next few months.
The Magna Pool is reopening! The pool will be opening on September 14th for lane swim, public swim, and aqua fitness. Individuals are asked to reserve their spot in advance. For more information please visit our website at newmarket.ca/swimming. Reservations can be made online at play.newmarket.ca
The Magna Fitness Centre has successfully reopened! The Fitness Centre has been relocated on the Honda Ice Pad at Magna Centre to ensure that there is ample space to accommodate individuals in their work out. Individuals are asked to reserve their spot in advance. Reservations can be made online at play.newmarket.ca. Group Fitness classes are set to restart the end of September. Please check back to

The skate park has also successfully reopened! The skate park at the Newmarket Recreation Youth Centre and Sk8 Park is open Tuesday to Friday from 4 pm to 8:15 pm and Saturdays from 1 pm to 7:30 pm. As approved during a Council Meeting on June 29, the Town of Newmarket will be implementing alternative programming in place of full-day summer camps for the 2020 season. Alternative programming includes family programs, small group short programs, camper activity kits and more.

Updated May 27: Town of Newmarket has cancelled summer camps & programs
The Town's existing summer camp program is designed and structured in a way that cannot be delivered in line with current Provincial requirements for social distancing and gatherings. Based on this reality, the Town must cancel all camps and refund all fees paid. Read more here
