Go outside for a walk on one of the York Regional Trails - York Region's extensive network of trails and forests are among the Region's most cherished attractions. Born of ancient routes used by First Nations, the trail network now extends throughout each of the nine cities and towns. Trail explorers can choose between paved urban trails or rugged forest paths. Hikers will be amazed at the diverse landscape, wildlife, and vegetation waiting to be appreciated. Explore the Oak Ridges Moraine Trail, kettle lakes, wetlands, forests, and a variety of other points of interest. Get out and enjoy nature and fresh air!
Take time to laugh – You know the saying "laughter is the best form of medicine," and getting a good laugh can reduce anxiety and let you feel at ease. Watch your favourite comedy movie, show, comedian or some classic cat videos.
Try Something New – You probably wanted to try that new hobby at some point. Painting? Photography? Poems? Learning an instrument? Experimenting with different creative hobbies can not only make you discovery a new passion, but it also gives you an outlet to let out emotions or thoughts that you should try (as best you can) to not keep bottled up.
