The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority advises that significant rainfall is forecasted for today through Tuesday in our watershed, with predicted rainfall accumulations of 30 – 50mm. Higher amounts of rainfall may occur in localized areas as a result of thunderstorm activity.
The forecasted rainfall may result in flooding of low-lying areas. All watercourses in our area may experience higher than normal water levels and flows. As a result, local streams and rivers will become dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts and bridges. Children should be warned to stay away from all watercourses.
This Watershed Conditions Statement will be in effect through Tuesday, September 27th, 2022.
