The Town of Newmarket has launched Xplor, a new user-friendly, industry leading software which will allow users to register for recreation and culture programs, buy fitness memberships, purchase gift cards, waste tags, waste bins and more. Residents are encouraged to sign up in the new system ahead of the upcoming winter program registration, which opens on December 7.
Xplor will replace the Town’s previous PLAY Account registration system and all users will be required to create an account to use the system. An Xplor account is required even if an account exists on the Town’s previous registration software. Setting up a new account is quick and easy. If users do encounter a problem, they can find helpful tutorials on the Town website or can contact the Customer Service Centre for assistance.
“This is a big step in making Recreation & Culture offerings more accessible,” says Colin Service, Director, Recreation & Culture. “We’ve heard feedback over the years about our previous system not meeting expectations; now with Xplor, users will have reliable access on an easy-to-use system. The convenience of this new system, along with its new features, is something that we’re excited to share with the community.”
With Xplor, users can:- Search and register for Recreation & Culture activities, courses and events
- Discover available spaces and facilities for booking
- Purchase memberships, multi-visit passes and personal training passes
- Manage memberships
- Request refunds
- Purchase items from the online store (e.g. gift cards, waste bins, waste tags)
Create an account by November 22, 2022 and be entered into a draw for a chance to win one of three $100 Recreation & Culture gift cards.
Important dates:
October 27 – Create an Xplor account now
November 23 – Users can purchase memberships, multi-visit passes, view drop-in programs, view facility availability and purchase online store items
November 28 – Winter program offerings are available for viewing
December 7 – Winter program registration opens for residents
December 14 – Winter program registration opens for non-residents
