The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement in effect until March 27. Precipitation of 15 to 25 mm and above freezing temperatures are anticipated.
The forecasted precipitation and temperatures combined with frozen ground conditions will result in melting snow and potential flooding of low-lying areas. All watercourses in our area may experience higher than normal water levels and flows. As a result, local streams and rivers will become dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts and bridges. Children should be warned to stay away from all watercourses.
This Watershed Conditions Statement will be in effect through Monday, March 27.
