involved and participate in a Public Information Centre (PIC) for Charles
Street Reconstruction and Infrastructure Improvements.
- When: Wednesday, February 13. Drop in any time from 6 to 8 p.m.
- Where: Seniors' Meeting Place (474 Davis Drive in the Craft Room)
The purpose of this PIC is to present the final design of the work prior to sending it out for tender. The format of the PIC will be an open house and residents are invited to drop by anytime.
The PIC will include the project drawings and specifications. Representatives from the Town's Engineering Services and the consulting engineers on the project (Ainley Group) will be available to answer any inquiries you may have.
The project is located on Charles Street between Queen Street and Davis Drive and on Granby Place between Charles Street and Prospect Street. The proposed works for the project include a full reconstruction of the road, curbs, sidewalks, watermains, sanitary and storm sewer on Charles Street and resurfacing of Granby Place.
The work is expected to start in the spring of 2019, depending on a successful tender process and contract execution. The work should be completed by the winter of 2019, weather permitting.
