Notice of Public Consultation Centre (PCC)
The Town of Newmarket is asking residents and businesses to get involved and participate in a Public Consultation Centre (PCC) for Pony Drive reconstruction on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. at the Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive) in Cane Rooms A and B. The PCC will include a presentation about the proposed future works on your street. The work to be planned includes a full reconstruction of the road, with new curbs, new storm system, and new sidewalks that will be compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The purpose of the PCC is to obtain input from residents and businesses before the design starts so that we may discuss any concerns you may have.
The itinerary for the PCC is as follows:
• 6:20 p.m. – Doors open
• 6:30 p.m. – Presentation
• 6:45 p.m. – Questions and answers
• 7:15 p.m. – Adjournment
The presentation will describe the project limits and the scope of work. A Public Information Centre (PIC), to be scheduled later this year, will feature detailed drawings for the project. At that PIC, residents will have a second opportunity to provide comments.
The work is expected to start in the spring or summer of 2021, depending on budget, priorities and a successful tendering and contract execution process
Representatives from the Town’s Engineering Services Department and the consulting engineers on the project (Ainley Group) will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. If you are unable to attend the PCC and have concerns regarding this project, please contact Sepideh Majdi, P.Eng. Capital Works Project Manager, at 905-953-5300 ext. 2522, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
