Trick or Treat!

Come out to our FREE Kids Trick or Treat Trail where we transition a portion of the Dave Kerwin Trail (approximately 1km) from its evening Haunted Halloween Trail theme into a much more child friendly experience. With spooky decorations, animintronics and actors in costume, children under the age of 10 and their families are invited to come dressed up in their Halloween costumes and get a head start on trick-or-treating!

  • Saturday, October 28, 2023 | 11 to 2:00 p.m.

  • Dave Kerwin Trail (Entrance at the Environmental Park, 325 Woodspring Avenue).

  • This event is recommended for ages 10 years and under.
  • All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Registration and Lineup:

  • Registration is not required. This free event is on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Entry onto the Trick or Treat Trail will be managed by Town staff to ensure an optimal attendee experience.
  • Attendees may experience a line-up upon arrival.
  • Please note: The Town of Newmarket reserves the right to close the lineup at any time during the event to ensure all those currently in line will have the opportunity to participate

Newmarket Food Pantry:

  • We are inviting guests who wish to participate in this year's Kid's Trick-or-Treat Trail to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Newmarket Food Pantry.
  • Newmarket Food Pantry bins will be located at the Town of Newmarket booth where participants will be able to drop off any/all donations.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • The Town of Newmarket is looking for friendly and energetic volunteers who are willing to dress up in a Halloween costume (of your choosing) to assist with handing out Halloween candy to the event participants. Volunteers will also be asked to assist with event set up and tear down.
