LEAF Volunteer Orientation: September 16 (virtual)

Join the LEAF volunteer team and help our urban forest thrive!

Are you passionate about trees and want to grow the urban forest? Join LEAF for one of our Volunteer Orientations to discover how you can lend a helping hand!

During this interactive virtual session, participants will learn about the LEAF mission, our programs and the different volunteer roles that LEAF offers.

Saturday, August 29 Virtual Volunteer Orientation (10:30am to 11:30am)

Wednesday, September 16 Virtual Volunteer Orientation (6:30pm to 7:30pm)

During the interactive session, you will learn how to support your local environment by getting involved with LEAF programs in Toronto, York Region, and Durham Region. Together, we will explore the many volunteer opportunities available so that you can find the best fit for your skills, interested and availability.

Opportunities include:

Getting your hands dirty as a Community Tree Planting Volunteer
Maintaining pollinator habitats as a Garden Steward
Educating the public as an Outreach Team Member
Capturing the fun at a tree tour as an Event Photographer
Assisting behind the scenes as an Office Volunteer

While you must be over the age of 18 to volunteer with LEAF, please know that we still welcome folks of all ages at our  Community Tree Planting and Stewardship Events and are always happy to sign participants' high school volunteer hours form.  Registrants will be provided a Zoom Meeting link to access the orientation.

The event will be delivered online and can be accessed through a web browser or an electronic device with the Zoom app. Internet access is required.
