Meeting details
The Town of Newmarket is looking to redevelop the old Hollingsworth arena site into a new park. You are invited you to an upcoming drop-in Public Consultation Center (PCC) to view initial design concept/park features and provide your feedback on Thursday, June 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive) in the Cane A & B rooms.
The proposed concept intends to include the following park features:
- Playground
- Spray pad
- Ball hockey rink (Summer)
- Shinney size chilled ice hockey rink (Winter)
- Open grass area
- Hard surface walkways and connections
- Gathering/seating area(s)
- Benches
- Picnic tables with umbrellas
- Waste receptacle(s)
- Landscaping
- Lighting
Public Consultation Meeting Format
- 6 p.m. – Doors open
- Drop-in session for open discussion
- Ask questions
- Provide comments and suggestions
- 8 p.m. – Adjournment
Can't make it to the Public Meeting?
Display boards from the public meeting will be posted to HeyNewmarket.ca/Hollingsworth after the PCC. Comments will be accepted online after the PCC until June 18, 2026.
