Metrolinx: Planned Power Outage for Utility Works on Timothy Street in Newmarket on October 23

A planned power outage to accommodate the Metrolinx-led future two-way all day service for the Barrie GO line is schedule for Friday, October 23, 2026 at11 p.m. until Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 7 a.m.,  

Crews will be completing utility works along Timothy Street South in Newmarket, ON. This work requires a planned power outage to safely complete the activities. 

During this time, properties along Main Street South, Cedar Street, Millard Avenue and Doug Duncan Street will be impacted. Businesses and residents in the area have been notified in advance by Metrolinx.
