A portion of the Tom Taylor Trail near the boardwalk area will be temporarily closed while the Town of Newmarket completes scheduled maintenance on the pedestrian bridge.
The work will include the replacement of the bridge’s steel stringers to help maintain the bridge and extend its service life.
Construction is scheduled to take place from November 2 to 6, 2026, weather permitting. During this time, this portion of the trail will be closed to allow the work to be completed safely.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank the community for their patience as we continue to maintain and renew Newmarket’s infrastructure.
Please plan your trip accordingly and follow the detour route shown on the map.
Reminder for cyclists: Cyclists accessing the trail from the Municipal Offices should use the west side only. Please do not ride along the boardwalk.
