The Town of Newmarket has launched an online Property Tax Portal that will allow property owners to access their property tax information securely online and anytime through an easy-to-use platform at Newmarket.ca/TaxPortal.

“We are excited to announce the launch of the new Property Tax Portal,” says Mayor John Taylor. “Following the recent launch of the Town of Newmarket’s new, modern and easy to use website at newmarket.ca, the Property Tax Portal is another enhancement that allows property owners to access timely information and better online services.”

Newmarket property owners are encouraged to sign up for an account and link their property/properties to the account to:

  • Access their tax information 24/7
  • View their account information, balance and more
  • Print tax statements, tax receipts and view other information
  • Pay their property tax bill online securely through their banking institution

To register for an account and link a property users will need an email address. To link a property to the account, users will need the following information from a recent Interim or Final Property Tax bill:

  • Customer Number
  • Property Tax Roll Number
  • Tax year (of the tax bill you are using to validate your property)
  • Account Balance

Access to this information can be found on the interim or final tax bill. To learn more about how to register and link an account, view our Property Tax Portal Start Guide.

A Property Tax Portal was identified as an enhancement through the Town’s Digital Transformation Strategy where a self-serve portal to access tax information would centralize interactions with the Town. This initiative also aligns with Council Priorities, ‘Customer First Way of Life’ which focuses on the community having timely access to services that enhance their quality of life. More enhancements and updates will be added to the portal in the future as additional features become available. Planned improvements include paperless e-billing options in 2027, providing property owners with a more convenient and environmentally friendly way to receive and manage their property tax information online.
