Newmarket's 2024 Catch Basin Cleaning program is set to begin this week and will take place over the next three to four weeks to complete (weather permitting). This year, the program will focus on the areas from Davis Drive to Mulock Drive, and Bathurst Street to Prospect Street. Each season, the Town aims to clear approximately 1,600 catch basins.
Please avoid parking vehicles on top of catch basins to ensure the Town's contractor can perform their work. Catch Basin cleaning is an integral step to prevent flooding in your neighbourhood, and to lessen the flow of debris and dirt into the stormwater system.
