Art at 395 Exhibit: Green
Date: Now to July 12, 2024
Time: Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive)
Cost: Free admission
The Green art exhibit features artwork created by members of the Newmarket Group of Artists, with pieces that reflect a variety of creative interpretations and poetic meditations upon this vivid colour and its many cultural and artistic associations. Artwork is available for purchase.

Car Wash for United Way featuring a Car Seat Workshop
Date: Saturday, May 25, 2024 (Rain date: June 1)
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Station 4-5 (300 Earl Stewart Drive, Aurora). Enter through the second laneway on Isaacson Crescent
Cost: Donate what you can to support United Way. Cash, debit or credit.
Bring your car or light truck to Station 4-5 (300 Earl Stewart Drive, Auora) to get your ride washed by local firefighters in exchange for a 'pay what you can' donation to the United Way. New this year, the event features a car seat workshop provided by St. John Ambulance. Meet their certified Car Seat Safety Educators and learn how to install and adjust your car seat(s) as your child grows. An educator can guide you through the steps and answer questions.
Special thanks to Central York Professional Firefighters Association whose members have volunteered their time for this charitable initiative!

National AccessAbility Awareness Week Celebration

Join us as we celebrate National Access Ability Awareness Week on May 30! National AccessAbility Awareness Week recognizes the valuable contributions and leadership of persons with disabilities in the community. It also recognizes the work of allies, organizations and communities that are removing barriers. Night Market

The Newmarket Group of Artists and the Town of Newmarket have once again partnered to present the second annual Night Market, an outdoor event that combines an art show and sale, food, drink and live music. Enjoy an evening in downtown Newmarket and discover art that speaks to you while celebrating with local artists.

Adults 55+: Jeopardy Trivia Night

Busk Till Dusk
Date: Friday and Saturday evenings from June to August (June 1 to August 31)
Time: Approximately 5 to 7 p.m.

Cost: Free admission (however a cash tip for the busker is always appreciated)
Every Friday and Saturday evening this summer, street performers will showcase their talent on Main Street Newmarket. Busking brings a variety of performance art forms to the street, offering close-up entertainment for a tip in the hat which goes to support the entertainers themselves, and provides a sense of energy and buzz to the area.

National Indigenous History Month Display
Date: June to August 2024

Indigenous artifacts from the Elman W. Campbell Museum's collection will be on display at the Newmarket Municipal Offices. Staff have consulted with the Elders of the Chippewas of Georgina Island on the repatriation of these objects, and historic experiences and stories to represent in displays. Join the Town of Newmarket on Canada Day for a fun filled day! From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., join us at Riverwalk Commons for a daytime concert and festival where you can enjoy rides on the Tim Hortons Express Train, facepainting, food vendors including a licensed area managed by the North Newmarket Lions Club, entertainment, Main Street festivities and more!
Then, head over to George Richardson Park from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. for music by the Newmarket Citizens Band, an amazing live music performance by Switchbeat and an incredible fireworks display!

Join us every Thursday evening from July 4 to August 22 for a free tribute band concert at Riverwalk Commons. Each concert will feature amazing local performers and a premier tribute band. Make sure to check out the FREE Mercedes-Benz Newmarket Backstage Lounge and watch the concert on our large backstage LED screen from the comfort of a Muskoka chair.
