The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation, and Parks (MECP) has introduced a new reporting method for Sewage Collection Systems. This method, known as the Consolidated Linear Infrastructure - Environmental Compliance Approval (CLI-ECA), replaces all existing Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECA) with a single overarching approval document for the Wastewater Collection System and another single overarching approval document for the Stormwater Collection System.
This reporting method is intended to reduce the burden on municipalities, developers and the ministry, while imposing a consistent set of conditions intended to improve environmental protection.
