June 13: Main Street

On Saturday, June 13, road closures will take place in downtown Newmarket for the York Pride Festival.

The following closures will occur:

York Pride Festival (6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.): 

• Timothy Street between Main Street and Doug Duncan Drive
• Cedar Street between Timothy Street and Doug Duncan Drive

Parade (1 to 6 p.m.): 

• Main Street between Davis Drive and Water Street
• Superior Street between Davis Drive and Ontario Street (local traffic only)
• Simcoe Street between Main Street and Superior Street (local traffic only)
• Ontario Street between 432 Ontario Street and Superior Street (local traffic only)
• Eastbound and westbound travel on Queen Street at Main Street not permitted from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 
• Water Street between Main Street and Doug Duncan Drive closed from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 
• Eastbound travel only on Water Street between Doug Duncan Drive & Prospect Street, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
