The York Regional Police Canine Unit is hosting the Ned's Wish Heroes Run. All proceeds from Heroes Run will support retired police and military service dogs across Canada, ensuring these loyal heroes receive the care and quality of life they deserve in their retirement.

This unique, dog-friendly fundraising event will honour the courageous sacrifice of RCMP Police Dog Bandit, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty while serving alongside Corporal Rick Mosher in George's River, Cape Breton on June 25, 2000.
Participants and their canine companions are invited to commemorate Bandit's bravery by running or walking a 5km distance, celebrating his unwavering dedication to service and his handler.
