Grace Simon is a lifelong Newmarket resident and proud Ward 1 Councillor, born and raised in the community she now serves. With a deep understanding of the Town’s history, growth, and evolving needs, Grace brings both lived experience and principled leadership to Council.
Grace is passionate about building strong, connected neighborhoods where residents feel safe, supported, and engaged. Her work focuses on responsible growth, community safety, accessible public spaces, and fostering meaningful partnerships between residents, local organizations, and businesses. She believes that thoughtful planning and inclusive decision-making are essential to preserving Newmarket’s character while preparing for its future.
A strong advocate for community well-being, Grace has supported initiatives that strengthen public awareness, protect vulnerable individuals, and enhance transparency in local governance.
