The Town of Newmarket has cancelled the viewing party for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final scheduled for tonight (Thursday, June 13) due to the tornado watch issued by Environment Canada - which advises that conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes.
"Whether we're in person or together in spirit, Newmarket is cheering for Connor and the Oilers tonight," says Mayor John Taylor. "Please stay home and stay safe tonight and then let's come back Saturday bigger and louder, together in person for game 4 at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex. Put on your blue and orange and let's cheer, Newmarket."
Cheer on Connor McDavid from home and share your photos with the Town of Newmarket! Post your pictures and tag @TownofNewmarket with #MyNewmarket and be entered into a draw to win a VIP viewing experience at Saturday's viewing party.
Join the Town of Newmarket for game 4 on Saturday, June 15 for the next Stanley Cup Final Viewing Party.
