Dye testing is a method used to locate rain or groundwater entry points into the sanitary sewer system and can also be used to identify leaks and cracks in the infrastructure.
This process is non-toxic and the dye is bio-degradable and has no harmful effects to humans, wildlife or the environment.
The Town is working with Civica Infrastructure to perform dye testing for commercial properties in the following areas over the next few weeks:
- Bogart Creek (College Manor Drive)
- Bogart Pond (Creekfront Way)
- Near Prince Charles Public School
- Near Pickering Collage
- 50 Davis Drive
- Near Newmarket High School
- Near Stuart Scott Public School
- Near Elizabeth Seton
- Near Maple Leaf Public School
- Near the Newmarket District Christian Academy
- Near Sacred Heart Catholic High School
