Rebate for Heritage Properties

The Town of Newmarket offers a tax rebate for properties that are designated and have entered into a heritage easement agreement with the Town.

To apply, complete the Heritage Tax rebate form [PDF/38KB] [PDF/42KB] and submit to the Planning Department at planning@newmarket.ca. For more information on heritage properties visit our Heritage Conservation Planning webpage.

Note: This application must be made by submitting the application form along with the required documentation to the Planning Department no later than the last day of February in the year following the year for which the owner is seeking to obtain the heritage rebate for. You must submit a new application for each property every year.
