Woodlot By-law Schedule 'A'

This bylaw's purpose is to protect small urban woodlots on privately owned lands. This bylaw requires land owners of affected lands to apply for a permit to injure or destroy trees and set fines for violations of the bylaw. If your woodlot is greater than 1.0 hectares in area, your woodlot falls under the jurisdiction of the Regional Municipality of York Bill No.36 Bylaw No. TR-0004-2005-036.
